Baroness was first set up in 1910 by the Hayashi family to manufacture straw bending machines that made nests for the silk worm. In 1922 the company first started exporting rice harvesting machines. By 1930 they added rope making machines to their range. Cultivators and Threshers were then produced for the Rice and Vegetable growers. In 1959 Baroness manufactured their first turf machinery and in 1983 the first exports were made to the UK. Baroness is a supplier in Japan covering all groundcare areas. It is sold all over the world.
All of the Baroness machines are designed and built in accordance with Baroness brand values. By doing this it means they get the basics right and that makes the difference. This includes:
- The machine must be able to cut grass to a high standard.
- The design is simple, reliable and durable.
- High build quality using high quality materials.
- Make the machine reliable with a long service life.
- Low cost of ownership.
